In the afternoon of January 3, suddenly appeared on the list of Trend Twitter hashtag #OraVotoCasapound, launched and pushed by accounts of militants known neo-fascist movement, a candidate in the next election.

Among the most followed users who promoted the hashtag there were of course the official account @casapounditalia well as @distefanotw and other accounts of local groups linked to the association.
Even Nina Moric wanted to make a contribution, with a message of protest against too high motorway tolls, which was followed by the hashtag in question.
Having pushed this hashtag with the help of a militant platform - and being the new hashtag, a feature that facilitates the rise in standings - for a few hours on the afternoon of January 3, #OraVotoCasapound fluctuated between the fourth and second place while the head was left to dominate the debate on #sacchettibiodegradabili.
Then, at 19:54, the genius.
The comedian Daniele Fabbri, from his account @ 0danielefabbri launches an offer of sabotage, that is, try replacing the list of Twitter Trend that of militants Casapound with its inverted version, # Ooosonup, with clear ironic reference to Piazzale Loreto (for easy to overthrow a text there are many online sites, such as FlipMyText).
To get the result, Fabbri has called on his followers, together with other associations and antifascist activists, to publish tweets containing exclusively the new hashtag.
The account of Wu Ming and Anpi gladly welcome the proposal, and spread to their followers, giving it good visibility (the two accounts have respectively 74 thousand and 45 thousand followers).
Immediately the hashtag is copy-pasted from hundreds of accounts, and at 22:40 the hashtag upside is already in trend, while the original is obviously dropped lower.
In addition to the obvious political reasons, the campaign's success is also due to the ingenious irony hashtag created, so that someone gets to define "the hashtag of the year".
Then there are the fascist sympathizers to complain initiative tweet the hashtag themselves upside down, oblivious to give a hand to their opponents.
Obviously the photos of the Piazzale Loreto plate and Mussolini turned over rampant.
On the night of January 4, Fabbri sends another tweet declaring happily amazed at the success of the campaign launched by him, "When I launched the hashtag # Ooosonup I simply wanted to show that when it comes to taking the piss out of the beams, we are many more.
Mission accomplished, thanks to everyone for joining the game! "
To try to better understand the dynamics at play in the account, I tried to quickly build a graph that represents the online situation, collecting all the tweets which featured one of the hashtag.
Then, using the open source sofware Gephi, I split the clusters of the two createsi bubbles, that of neo-fascists in blue on the right, and the anti-fascist in red on the left.
To make reading easier, I made only viewable account names with more than 10 thousand followers, while the size of the node and label corresponds to the degree of the node, the interaction had in tweetstorm.
In addition to the names already mentioned, in the left bubble also appears Caparezza (@capasound) and Linkiesta.
The graph above represents the bubbles and the participants in tweetstorm from upside hashtag launch, and as it emerged from a discussion with Matthew Flora total number of tweets with #OraVotoCasaPound are greater in number if we consider the totality January 3.
However, the trend of the ranking criteria take into account in particular the speed with which a hashtag appears on Twitter, so quick and organized action allowed all'hashtag reversed to appear in a few hours ahead.
It is not the first time they are organized sabotage of online hashtag on twitter.
In September 2013 it was just the Wu Ming to launch action against Enel #guerrieri hashtag.
In that case the decision was different because instead of launching a new hashtag to send to the ranking is used just the official hashtag launched by Enel to share the precarious conditions of the workers.
Even then, as now, he recorded a good result.
