The latter are the refrain that you hear from time immemorial, but with the advent of social are experiencing a kind of second golden era.

In particular, just in time for the controversy of recent weeks, the FascioFacebook (and others) have begun to turn a number of myths and legends about the great social and economic achievements of fascism-achievements that are opposed to the contemporary, and are used basically in saying: "You see?
While the current politicians do not do shit, LVI things made her seriously! "
As these hoaxes continually resurface-and demonstrate their incredible persistence because they distort historical truths and misinformation-mingle with the thought of lining up those who have had more success and resonance.
THE DUCE CREATED THE PENSIONS
That Mussolini who created from scratch we would enjoy the pension system still is without a doubt the most persistent and successful hoax, to the point that a year ago Matteo Salvini said: "For pensioners it was surely more Mussolini that Fornero.
[...] Social Security brought Mussolini. "
In fact, this is not so.
As you can easily check the INPS site, Social Security was established in 1898 with the creation of the National pension fund for disability and old age of the workers.
It was an '' integrated voluntary insurance as a contribution of state encouragement and also free contribution of entrepreneurs. "
In 1919, enrollment in the fund becomes mandatory and affects 12 million workers.
Twenty years later, the regime promotes various social security measures, including unemployment insurance, family allowances and survivor's pension.
The social pension, however, is established only in 1969-that is, 24 years after the death of Mussolini.
THE DUCE CI HAS GIVEN THE THIRTEENTH
Another legend circulating much (especially at Christmas) is as follows: if we have a month's salary plus it's unique about the magnanimity of Mussolini.
Again, however, the story is different.
In the 1937 National Collective Labor it was effectively introduced a "Christmas bonus."
The month more, however, was accessible only to employees of the industry; and not, for example, to the workers in the same sector, which indeed saw increase the hours of daily work up to 10, and 12 with overtime not rifiutabili.
As written in this post, in short, it was a measure "in full line with those who were normal Fascist era policies, in a society [...] locked on corporatism based not on the law for all but the privileged few groups and sectors. "
The real thirteenth was established prior to the inter-industry agreement of 27 October 1946, and then extended to all workers in the 1070/1960 decree of the President of the Republic.
ONLY WITH FASCISM ITALY HAS REACHED THE GOAL OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
In the image above, please note emphatically that the "fascist government" reached a balanced budget in 1924, basically due to the fight against waste and reducing taxes.
Bottom line: with all the taxes we are now, however, the accounts of the state never return.
Ergo: the Caste is inept, suffocates us with the tax burden, and therefore it was better before.
Now, a balanced budget was actually achieved (in 1925 and not in 1924).
But like all the misinformation that respect, it carefully avoids saying things that happened before and after the achievement of that goal.
The creator was the Minister of Finance and Economy, Alberto De Stefani.
From 1922 onwards, the economist pushed for the liberalization of the economy, sought to contain inflation, reduced public spending and unemployment.
Its "political authoritarian neoliberalism" was a bad eye view though both the most radical part of fascism, which mainly by landowners, industrial and big capitalists.
Not surprisingly, in July 1925 he was dismissed after having resigned repeatedly; and from then on began to take more and more critical positions (not democratic or fascist, of course) on the regime and its new economic policy-including the Great Depression, autarky and everything else-brought the country in shambles.
To quote an article that was in charge of removing the implicit message of this myth, "a model that collapsed on itself is not the best model."
THE DUCE HAS REBUILT COUNTRIES EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS IN A BATTER OF AN EYE
Even the story of the miraculous reconstruction after the earthquake of Duce Vulture (Lucania) of 23 July 1930 is rather the applicant.
The primary source, retaken by the far-right sites and replicated in various meme is an article of the Century in Italy published after the earthquake that last year hit the center of Italy.
In it he argues that in just three months, they built 3,746 houses and they repaired 5,190, and even slips the comment hagiographic "other times, but most other tempers ..."
The figure is, however, partial and decontextualized.
As you can see from the INGV site in October 1930 were completed "asismiche masonry houses corresponding to 1705" and "sheltered accommodation in the Civil Genius 2340 homes."
Only in September 1931-a-completed operations will reach the figure quoted in the article, which corresponds to 3,746 apartments in 961 houses.
In short, the numbers are still relevant for its time, but it is simply not true that in just three months it was rebuilt from scratch.
FASCISM HAS MADE ITALY A LIGHTHOUSE FOR SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERIES
In this image, aimed at all those who "NOT THE NEVER admit it," he says with the power of a beautiful capitalized that fascism had made Italy-among other things- "a lighthouse nation for scientific discoveries. "
In the early years of the regime, however, as more fully reconstructs this article on the Treccani, the government "had basically ignored all questions connected with the organization of scientific research facility," which remained that of Italy liberal and was fraught with problems.
In 1923 it was started the CNR (National Research Council), the first structure assigned to conduct research "on topics of general interest."
His work was immediately characterized by the shortage of funding, a sign of "lack of confidence in the new entity that still had Mussolini."
Over the years, despite the proclamations and propaganda, CNR never became incisive and did not produce anything significant, especially since his only indication was that search for autarky-indication too general.
The outbreak of World War II, then "walked away across the board among younger researchers, assistants, laboratory technicians, and, in short, the scientific work slowed down to almost total paralysis."
In 1938, as proof of what fascism does not give a shit nothing of science, the Italian scientific world had been engulfed by the most infamous anti-scientific and political acts of the regime: the promulgation of racial laws.
Which brings me to the last legend that I have chosen to compile this list.
THE DUCE WAS NOT RACIST, NOT EVEN AND FASCISM WAS A RACIST REGIME
While at first the relations between Jews and Fascism were "normal," and Mussolini himself-in the book Conversations with Mussolini - "Anti-Semitism does not exist in Italy," things changed gradually with the twist totalitarian regime, and finally they resulted in the persecution.
Rather, as it claimed by the historian Enzo Collotti, the "push to a politics of race in Italian Fascism" on one side was "initiative and self-product" of the regime-especially after 1933 and the affirmation of Nazism-and the other was a choice "inherent to the same nationalist legacy, which extolled the superiority of race as a biological fact and not just cultural."
The same can be done with the "civilization" of the colonies, which arises in perfect continuity with the above.
According Collotti, the war of aggression against Ethiopia in 1935 was "an opportunity to focus on a racist policy of fascist Italy"; and after the conquest of the country-never completed up in fondo- "was established a real racial separation system, a real prototype of apartheid."
To say that fascism was not a racist regime is denying one of its fundamental characteristics.
If you take this argument to the extreme, we end up saying that Fascism was not a fascist.
And I do not think that the Duce would be pleased, right?
