The agriculture and livestock play a fundamental role on the amount of gases in our planet, generated from trucks to transport goods, tractors to cultivate the fields and the gases emanating from the animals and their excrement.

A recently published study in Nature Climate Change says the change of the world food system is crucial to slow climate change and to secure the food supply in general.

This is yet another example of how, even without the intervention of government and laws, we can change everything without them, if each of us did the right choice and spending of money on one side rather than the other.

Therefore, best diets, in this case, consist of minor amounts of meat, a food that has proved more times, highly inefficient.
You could eat 900 calories of a steak or a burger, but it would take a much greater amount of calories to grow the cow or the pig, and the water it needs.

The average efficiency of a livestock, which converts the vegetable fodder in meat is less than 3 percent, therefore, more meat we eat, the more arable land is used to produce food resources for animals that provide meat for human.

Every year the earth renews a number of resources and these should be enough for the whole year if manged fewer than or equal to what the earth can offer us.
TheĀ heart overshoot day is the date on which these resources have been consumed, and every year this date comes first. Tentatively in mid-August we consumed everything and in the following months we are in "debt" with the earth.

For this reason it is important not to have waste (including conversion from vegetable to meat) and so reduce the deforestation and pollution.
